It's Re-Enrollment Time!

A re-enrollment packet has been included in your child’s packet today. BCS will hold enrollment for current students from now until March 1. We will open enrollment to the public on February 17, and will continue until the seats are filled.

To complete your re-enrollment packet, you will need to:
• Submit a complete re-enrollment form (one per family). Please note signatures of both parents/guardians are required if both have legal responsibility for the child,
• Pay the applicable Registration Fee of $75.00 per child before March 1, or $100.00 per child on or after March 1, and
• Fill out the appropriate Key Bank tuition payment plan forms.

We have simplified the process for you this year by providing ONE form per family. Please note that we are moving to a tuition management company, Key Bank, to help in tuition payment. We will now be able to offer credit card, bank card, and automatic withdrawal as part of your tuition payment options. Please note that these options are only available for tuition payments.

Second session of Karate classes start

Dress Code Reminder

We’ve been noticing that several students are not wearing dress code attire to school. Please be reminded that students must wear the BCS gym attire on Fridays: BCS sweatpants and sweatshirt, with the gray BCS gym shirt.

Sweatshirts cannot be worn in class other days. Students should wear either the BCS polos or a plain white turtleneck under the BCS sweater or fleece. You may choose either the cardigan or pullover V-neck uniform sweater for your child to wear. Harvey Uniforms now offers a polar fleece jacket that may be worn during class. White turtlenecks may also be worn under the sweater or polo shirts. Please note that other sweaters or jackets may not be worn in class. Sweaters or additional clothing may be ordered from Harvey Uniform at 1-800-462-8192.

When students go outside for recess, they should have gloves or mittens and a hat, along with a warm coat!

If you recommend Brockton Christian School to another family that has not attended Brockton Christian School, and they pass in your recommendation to me at an interview meeting, we will offer you this exciting arrangement. If this family enrolls their child(ren) at BCS for September, and is attending in February of 2008, we will take $250.00 off your March tuition next year!

Any additional recommendations will result in a $100.00 tuition rebate, per new family attending. In this way, you will have the opportunity to decrease your tuition expenses, and we will be able to increase our ministry and student enrollment! This program will take effect for any interview scheduled after today's date.

You may wish to mention that Brockton Christian School will be hosting two "Prospective Student Open Houses". An evening Open House will be held on Tuesday, March 13, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, and a daytime Open House will be held on Monday, April 2, from 8:30 – 11:00 AM. Parents and students are invited to tour the school, talk with a parent/student panel, and have students attend a class (daytime Open House).

Parent Conferences

Parent conferences will be held on Monday, March 5. School will dismiss at 11:00 AM, and conferences will be held from 11:00 – 8:00 PM. AfterCare will be in session.

School Closing Announcements

School closing announcements will be made over radio stations WBET (AM1460) or WEZE (AM 590) and television channels 4, 5, and 7. In the event that Brockton Public Schools close, there will be no school at Brockton Christian.

Parking Lot Procedure

We have quite a few complaints about drivers in the parking lot. When dropping off your child in the morning, please pull into a parking spot if you plan to come into the school or if your child does not leave your car immediately. This will allow for uninterrupted flow for cars in the lot.

Please maintain the traffic flow in the afternoon, and do not exit the parking lot from the lower end. Thank you – as this helps in the safety of our parents as well as our students!

Second Karate Session

We are offering a second session of karate classes in the afternoons, starting on February 27, and continuing for 6 weeks. Students in grades 2 – 5 will meet on Tuesday, and those in grades 6 – 8 will meet on Thursdays. The cost will be $25.00 for the six week session for current students, and the cost is only $55.00 for new karate students (includes karate uniform).

Parents are invited to the karate classes on February 13 and 15 for the white belt ceremony for your child! Classes are held from 2:15 – 3:00 each week.
