Butter Braid Fundraiser

Butter Braid orders are due back in the school office by March 21 in order to receive the delivery before Easter. Checks should be made out to Brockton Christian School, or orders may be paid in cash.
As an added incentive, any child who sells 3 items will receive a free dress down day pass and any student who sells 6 or more will be invited to an ice cream party. Money raised by the fundraiser will go to enhance the AfterCare program and other special activities.

It’s RE-Enrollment Time!

Make sure to send in your re-enrollment form! We opened enrollment for new students on March 1 and will continue until the seats are filled. We anticipate opening two PreK classes for next year! Our younger classes are filling especially fast!

If you have any questions regarding the re-enrollment procedure, please contact Mrs. Karen Hodges (kihodges@brocktonchristian.com).

If you have any questions regarding finances or the new Key Bank tuition payment plan, please call Mrs. Debra Powell, our Business Manager, at the school office, or by email at (dapowell@brocktonchristian.com).

Brockton Christian School will be hosting another "Prospective Student Open House" on Monday, April 2, from 8:30 – 11:00 AM. Parents and students are invited to tour the school, ask questions, and have students attend a class. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to share the ministry of BCS with your friends and family members!

HELP US HELP YOU!

If you recommend Brockton Christian School to another family that has not attended Brockton Christian School, and they pass in your recommendation to me at an interview meeting, we will offer you this exciting arrangement. If this family enrolls their child(ren) at BCS for September, and is attending in February of 2008, we will take $250.00 off your March tuition next year! Any additional recommendations will result in a $100.00 tuition rebate, per new family attending. In this way, you will have the opportunity to decrease your tuition expenses, and we will be able to increase our ministry and student enrollment!

Science Fair

Our annual Science Fair will be held on Monday, March 26. Students in grades 6 – 8 will be judged during the school day. All students in grades 6 – 8 must attend the evening session from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Parents and guests are invited to see the displays. Grades 4 and 5 will have science displays as well. Certificates and awards will be presented at 7:45 PM.

Spirit Week!

The week of March 12 – 16 is our BCS Spirit Week! This week’s themes:

Monday—Crazy Hair Day
Spiked? Moussed? Colored?

Tuesday—Wear Your Favorite Color Day
Is it red? Or green? Or black? We wore clothing in our favorite color—from head to toes!

Wednesday—Sports Day
We wore our favorite sports team clothing, uniform, or colors. (football, baseball, soccer, karate, etc.)

Thursday— Fashion Disaster
You might not be walking the runway in THAT outfit! An example of how NOT to dress (appropriately covered, of course!)

Friday—Bathrobe/slipper/stuffed animal Day
Be prepared to be comfy today! Wear your gym clothes and bring a pair of sneakers so you can have gym class, too!

The class with the highest percentage participation will be treated to a free dress down day with a movie and popcorn. Students may wear jeans IF they “TRULY” participate in the theme of the day.

AfterCare Notes…

Our “older kid” AfterCare is working well! Students in grades 4 – 8 will report to Miss Stevens (T, TH) or Mrs. Doherty (M, W) in their respective classrooms from 2:00 – 4:00. If you pick up your child before 4:00 PM, please come to the front door of the mansion. Thank you!

Parking Lot Safety

Please note that the entrance of our parking lot is the south end (by the stop light). We must insist that all cars come in that entrance, and leave the lot by the church end of the building. This is for the safety of our students!
Please do NOT leave your car unattended while in line for dismissal. Students may not walk to cars that are not in line at dismissal time. Thank you for your cooperation with the safety of ALL our students!

No Bully program at BCS

On Thursday, March 8, Deputy Linda Pacheco from the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office presented a No Bullying program to our students in grades 3 – 8. She will be returning to help in the i-safe program for internet safety for students and their parents. Mrs. Hodges will be attending additional training on March 14. If you would like more information about the i-safe program, please contact Mrs. Hodges through the school office.
