Science Fair
Our annual Science Fair will be held on Monday, March 26. Students in grades 6 – 8 will be judged during the school day. All students in grades 6 – 8 must attend the evening session from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Parents and guests are invited to see the displays. Grades 4 and 5 will have science displays as well. Certificates and awards will be presented at 7:45 PM.
Spirit Week!
The week of March 12 – 16 is our BCS Spirit Week! This week’s themes:
Monday—Crazy Hair Day
Spiked? Moussed? Colored?
Tuesday—Wear Your Favorite Color Day
Is it red? Or green? Or black? We wore clothing in our favorite color—from head to toes!
Wednesday—Sports Day
We wore our favorite sports team clothing, uniform, or colors. (football, baseball, soccer, karate, etc.)
Thursday— Fashion Disaster
You might not be walking the runway in THAT outfit! An example of how NOT to dress (appropriately covered, of course!)
Friday—Bathrobe/slipper/stuffed animal Day
Be prepared to be comfy today! Wear your gym clothes and bring a pair of sneakers so you can have gym class, too!
The class with the highest percentage participation will be treated to a free dress down day with a movie and popcorn. Students may wear jeans IF they “TRULY” participate in the theme of the day.
AfterCare Notes…
Our “older kid” AfterCare is working well! Students in grades 4 – 8 will report to Miss Stevens (T, TH) or Mrs. Doherty (M, W) in their respective classrooms from 2:00 – 4:00. If you pick up your child before 4:00 PM, please come to the front door of the mansion. Thank you!
Parking Lot Safety
Please note that the entrance of our parking lot is the south end (by the stop light). We must insist that all cars come in that entrance, and leave the lot by the church end of the building. This is for the safety of our students!
Please do NOT leave your car unattended while in line for dismissal. Students may not walk to cars that are not in line at dismissal time. Thank you for your cooperation with the safety of ALL our students!
No Bully program at BCS
On Thursday, March 8, Deputy Linda Pacheco from the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office presented a No Bullying program to our students in grades 3 – 8. She will be returning to help in the i-safe program for internet safety for students and their parents. Mrs. Hodges will be attending additional training on March 14. If you would like more information about the i-safe program, please contact Mrs. Hodges through the school office.
