We are glad to be back with our students – and to be celebrating the beginning of a new school year!

If you have any questions, please stop by the school office, or give us a call! The school office is open daily from 7:30 AM—3:00 PM.

This year, Mrs. Judy Doherty is serving as Asst. Principal and the Housemaster for K-4 through grade 3. Mrs. Hodges is the Housemaster for grades 4—8, as well as continuing her duties as Principal. Either principal will be glad to help you with any questions or concerns.

If you have questions regarding tuition or financial arrangements, please contact Mrs. Debra Powell, our Business Manager and Treasurer.

If you have a question for your child’s teacher, please send a note or a phone message. Each teacher is in the building from 7:30—2:30 PM.

We look forward to partnering with you to help your child reach his or her potential—and beyond!

Monday Folders

Each Monday, the BCS office will send home a plastic packet with your child. Please make every effort to look for it each week. It will contain a lunch order form, Club Champion billings, a BCS Connection (every other week), the lunch calendar (once a month), and other pertinent information.

The first day of school’s packet has lots of information, along with forms to fill out. Please return ALL documents by Wednesday, September 2.
Today’s packet includes:

  • Club Champion Information and signup form
  • Policy Sheets—(one set green, one set white) Return white set signed on each sheet
  • Medication release and policy
  • Computer use Policy (grades 4– 8) to use internet and the wing and computer lab
  • Lunch order form for next week and September lunch menu

Please return the signed items in your child’s plastic folder. Students will be assessed a charge of $1.25 for any lost/missing folders.

* All emergency forms and fees should have already been turned in!

Before School Care

Do you need before school care? We are open at 7:00 to 7:40 AM for Early Care. You will be charged $2.00 per day for dropping your child off at any time before 7:40 AM. Early Care meets in the wing part of our building (use the back doors by the fence). You MUST sign your child in with either Mrs. Dawbin or Mrs. Powell. BCS Lunch Program

We are happy to continue our partnership with the Brockton Public Schools lunch program under Chartwell’s Service. Each day, a hot lunch will be delivered to our students for the price of $1.75 per day! All lunches meet the Federal guidelines for school hot lunches, and will come with milk and fruit. We are enclosing a lunch menu for September along with a lunch order form for this week.

In addition, an application for free/reduced lunch was sent to you by mail in August. Please fill out the form and return it to the school. If you qualify, we will let you know, and your child will receive the lunch at a free or reduced rate. If you do not want to apply, please send in the form with your name, and NA on the balance of the form. Thank you for your help and cooperation in this matter.

In today’s packet, you have a form for next week. Please return it by Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Forms not returned by 9 A.M. on Wednesday will not be accepted. You can also find the lunch menu and order form on our school’s website at www.brocktonchristian.com. Look under “forms” on the left sidebar.

After School Pick-Up

When picking up your child at 2:00 PM, please stay in your car and move with the line up to the top of the parking lot. Do not get out while in line to walk your child to your car.

If your child is not picked up by 2:15 , he/she will be signed in to the Club Champion Afterschool Program. Once signed in, you will be charged for the first hour of Club Champion.

Champions in the Making

This year, your child will learn and experience the six keys to godly relationships: perseverance, forgiveness, boundaries, joy, service, and commitment. Each month, in chapel and in class, your child will see how God’s Word relates to our lives. Our songs, chapel talks, memory verses, and activities will reflect the verses from Deuteronomy 6:5 -9, “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Our prayer is that you will walk with us this year, as we work together to impress God’s Word on the lives of your children.

Encourage YOUR child to become a champion – for Christ this year! Let’s partner together to raise Champions for Christ this year at BCS – in the city of champions!

Back To School Night

Back to School Night is on Monday, September 14, at 7:00 PM!
We invite you to come to hear your child’s teacher talk about this year’s program and expectations.

You will learn about your child’s teacher’s policies for homework, class work, and have the opportunity for questions and answers. Each teacher will give 2 twenty minute parent presentations (7:00 and 7:25) to allow for parents of more than one child to attend each class. You will also get to see your child’s classroom and view the room from his or her perspective!

This meeting is a MUST for parents! We encourage both parents or guardians to attend and learn about the school where your child spends at least six hours of his or her day! Please note: this is NOT an Open House night, so please either keep your children with you or leave them with a babysitter. Thank you.
