BCS Parent Report Card

Please take the time to fill out the BCS Parent Report Card that was given to you at the Parent Teacher conferences! Thank you! Last year’s “report Card” is reflecting in the following changes this year: addition of Spanish in grades 1 - 8, addition of research class for grades 6 – 8, adoption of new math program in grades PreK – 8 (the whole school!), adoption of new science program in grades 6 -8. Other changes will be forthcoming as we continue on through this year, and after the church end of the building is open next spring.

CLubHouse is Coming!

Look inside your child’s plastic packet this week for the Christmas CLubHouse information. Do you need childcare during the school vacation weeks? If you are interested in CLubHouse, please contact the school office.

Lost and Found

We have quite a few UNLABELED jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts in our lost and found. Please stop by the school office to see our “collection” if your child is missing his or her sweater or sweatshirt.
We would appreciate it if you would label your child’s belongings. It is difficult to return a sweater or sweatshirt to the correct child – the garments all look alike!

School Pictures

Picture Retake Day will be on Monday, November 20. If you wish to have a retake, please return your child’s picture package to school. If your child was absent on the picture day, you may order photos on retake day. All pictures need to be ordered and paid for on that day. If you need a new order form, please contact the school office.

Don’t forget to come to the Harvest Fair on Saturday!

The Harvest Fair will be held in the wing classrooms from 10:00 – 12:00. You may access the classrooms by the wing outside doors that face our parking lot (follow the stone path!) Come enjoy and get to know the BCS family – and have fun!

Due to the generosity of Paul Jones, stepfather of Heather Robinson, (grade 1) the office ceiling has been repaired at no cost to the school by Willie’s Plastering Company. Last weekend, he graciously replaced and finished the plaster ceiling in the school office. He donated his time and materials to bless the school! Thank you!

Special Visit by Aaron!

Last week, we were paid a visit by Staff Sergeant Aaron Andrade, who recently returned home from Iraq. Aaron and his wife, Laura, are graduates of BCS, and he is one of the soldiers that we have been praying for over the past couple of years. Aaron talked with our students about the armor of God, and compared his uniform armor to the scriptures in Ephesians 6. Ask your child about the drawstring of truth, boots of peace, vest of righteousness, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit!

We give thanks that Aaron returned safely, and continue to pray for our other soldiers who are still serving overseas: Jared Nevens, Warren Beard, and Mark Lewis.

Parent Booster Club Information

Our Parent Booster Club is sponsoring a number of activities this month: The Harvest Fair, Operation Christmas Child boxes, and the Brockton Christmas Parade.
