Welcome Back to School!

We at BCS would like to welcome our students and parents/guardians back to school!  After a summer of clean up and preparation, we are ready to go!  This year, we are offering Spanish to grades 1 – 8, as well as Computer/Research in grades 6 – 8.  Our newly designed PreK program is up and running!  The Kindergarten class is temporarily located in the room next to the school office, and will move back to the Kindergarten/AfterCare room after building renovations are complete.

––––––––––––––––––––

Wednesday is BCS Office Day!

On each Wednesday, the BCS office will send home a plastic packet with your child.  Please make every effort to look for it each week.  It will contain the week’s lunch order form, A BCS Connection, AfterCare billings, and other pertinent information.

The first day of school’s packet has lots of information – just see the next column for contents! Please return ALL documents buy Tuesday, September 12.  We urge all parents/guardians to look for the packet each Wednesday.  The student handbook will be sent out at a later date.

You may contact Debra Powell, our treasurer, at the school office at (508) 588-4669 between the hours of 7:30 and 3:00 PM.  If you prefer, you may email Mrs. Powell at dapowell@brocktonchristian.com if you are unsure of your balance.

This Year's Theme

The Red Sox… the Patriot’s…. Rocky Marciano…  Everyone loves a Champion.  Kids, even adults, look up to sports figures, heroes, and those who seem “larger than life.”  Brockton is known for being the “city of champions.”

This year, we will be helping our students to understand that they can be Champions – Champions for Christ.  As we look at different characters in the bible, and learn the characteristics of champions, students will learn how to become champions themselves.

You can help your child learn about champions in the bible as you read and talk about people such as Moses, Paul,  David, Esther (my favorite), and Ruth.  Many of our classrooms will have posters with the students’ definitions of champions.  Stop in the office and see the faculty and staff definitions!

We’ll discover together how to live a life of a champion in the everyday choices that we make.  Let’s partner together to raise Champions for Christ this year at Brockton Christian School – in the city of champions!

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me through the school office.

Back to School Night - Monday, September 18, at 7:00 PM.

Come to hear your child’s teacher talk about this year’s program and expectations.  Teachers will give 2 20-minute presentations (7:00 and 7:25) to allow for parents of more than one child to attend each class.  This meeting is a MUST for parents!  We encourage both parents/guardians to attend!  Please note:  this is NOT an Open House night, so please either keep your children with you, or leave them with a babysitter.
