Faculty Changes
It is with regret that we are announcing the imminent departure of Mrs. Barbara Fish as our Fourth Grade teacher and Assistant Principal. She will be moving to the Springfield, MA area with her husband, as he was just hired by American International University as Director of Financial Aid. While we are thrilled with this new opportunity for them, American International University’s gain is our loss. Mrs. Fish’s last day at BCS will be on Thursday, November 16, 2006. We will certainly miss her as a teacher, and as our Assistant Principal. She will leave a hole here at Brockton Christian School, as she has been an integral part of the school for many years.
Mrs. Brenda Marquis, our Sixth Grade teacher, will be leaving BCS soon. Mrs. Marquis’s last day at BCS will be on Friday, November 17, 2006. We wish her the best as she starts at another position elsewhere.
Mrs. Debbi Masse has agreed to take a long-term substitute position in the Fourth Grade classroom as of Friday, November 17, 2006. She has many years experience as both a daily and long-term substitute, not only here at Brockton Christian School, but also in the East Bridgewater school system. Mrs. Masse has been a substitute at BCS for many years, and she is appreciated by staff and students like. In fact, she just finished a long-term sub assignment in our third grade. Her children attended Brockton Christian School, and so has had a vested interest in the education of our students.
Mrs. Hodges will be stepping into the role of Sixth Grade teacher until we find either a long –term substitute or a full time replacement.
We have already begun the search for new teachers. While we desire to place a teacher in the classroom as soon as possible, we will not rush through the process. We will prayerfully and carefully seek a permanent teacher for the classroom, and will proceed with hiring protocol.
Thank you for your continued prayer and support for the school, and our staff, at this time. If you have any further questions, or know of someone that could help fill these positions, please contact me through the school office. I would be more than happy to talk further with you.
- Mrs. Hodges
