Picture Day!

Picture Day is tomorrow! Students may dress UP for their spring pictures. (uniforms do not need to be worn if students dress up.) Clothing must be appropriate for school wear. Spring Portraits by Lifetouch offer casual, studio-style photography that gives students more freedom to create a look that’s truly their own. Visit www.schoolportraits.lifetouch.com for clothing suggestions, grooming tips, program details and more.

World Culture Day!

On Wednesday, March 15th, BCS held its second annual World Culture Day. We had a wonderful time learning about other cultures, and trying new foods from Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, Cape Verde, Poland, Scotland, Greece, China, Costa Rica, Sweden, and lots of other countries! We wish to thank all the parents and grandparent who helped make this a special day for our students! We had many displays, posters, maps, flags, and artifacts from various countries.

In the afternoon, we were treated to an Irish Step Dancing demonstration from Kathy Johnson and her daughters. Our students even had the opportunity to try a little stepping out!

We still have a few unclaimed, unlabeled plastic containers in the school office. If your dish did not come home with your child, please contact the school office! Thank you.

It all counts up!

We received $55.13 in the Target fundraiser! To sign up, please visit www.redcard.target.com to help BCS!

We are sending 1100 Box Tops for Education this month! This raises $110.00 in our technology efforts. Thank you for your support!

We are sending in over 2200 Campbell’s Labels for Education this month! This translates into better educational supplies for our students!

Keep sending in your labels, Box Tops, Cell Phones, and ink jet cartridges! They certainly help!

How Can Parents Help?

We are in our enrollment (and re-enrollment) time at Brockton Christian School. As we prepare for next year, there are many things that parents can do to help!

• Tell your family and friends that “great things are happening at my child’s school!”

• Bring a CD with a PowerPoint presentation to a friend’s home or to your church or pastor (available in the school office)

• Give out a full-color brochure to a friend or co-worker

• Give out our school website address to a friend or co-worker (www.brocktonchristian.com)

• Email a friend or acquaintance and send them a link to our email address -administration@brocktonchristian.com

• Last, but not least – here’s our phone number (508) 588-4669!

Remember – if a new family enrolls and writes your name on the application as a reference, the following February you will receive a $250.00 tuition discount! ($100.00 for any additional families)

7th Grade Cookbook Project

Did you enjoy the food from the World Culture Day? Our seventh grade class, along with Mrs. Ciulla-Monteiro, created a multicultural cookbook with recipes from our school families. There are a number of cookbooks still available at price of $7.00. If you would like to try some new recipes, and read the “recipes” of our Kindergarten class, please fill in the order form in today’s plastic packet, and return it to the school office. Thank you for your support of the 7th grade “clean up” project!

To date, over $600.00 has been donated to the clean up costs, and the seventh graders have raised over $200.00 additional funds toward the project. Thank you to all who have helped with this cost. At last estimate, the bills totaled over $3,000.00 to clean up and ensure safety for our students. The last test came back within normal, safe limits for our students! The Letter of Certification is in the school office.

_______________________

SAT testing will begin on Friday, April 7, and continue on through the next week. Please make sure that your child attends every day – and on time through the testing week! Thank you!
