Welcome back to Brockton Christian School! This is going to be a wonderful, exciting year!

We at Brockton Christian School would like to welcome our students and parents/guardians back to school!  We have been busy preparing for this year, both during the summer months, and on our faculty/staff meeting day on August 29.  We are anticipating an exciting year together in our school!  This year, we have a 20% increase in our enrollment, and welcome over 38 new students!

Your Parent Packet:

On each Wednesday, the BCS office will send home a folder with your child. Please make every effort to look for it each week.  It will contain the week’s lunch order form, a BCS Connection, AfterCare billing, and other pertinent information.

The first day of school’s packet has lots of information – just see the next column for contents!  Please return all documents by Tuesday, September 6.  We urge all parents/guardians to look for the packet each Wednesday!!!

Today, your child received a plastic packet of information.  Please take the time to review the packet, and return it, preferably the next day!  This week your child’s packet includes:

  • Emergency Health Form
  • Parent/Student Handbook
  • AfterCare Information and signup sheet (for emergencies, too!)
  • Photo Release
  • Medication Policy and release
  • Computer Use Policy (grades 4 – 8)
  • Lunch order for the week of September 12 – 16

All documents must be returned by Tuesday, September 6.  Please return the signed items in your child’s plastic folder.  Students will be assessed a charge of $1.25 for any lost/missing folders!

This Year's Theme!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This year, at BCS, we will be spending time thinking about being the kind of people that please God and bear fruit.  We will be concentrating on this in various ways:

Our chapel services for the next 6 weeks or so will showcase how to be “PeaceBuilders.”  Each week, we will learn ways to build peace and to build up each other by:

  • How to increase peace with each other,
  • Praising people
  • Giving up put downs
  • Seeking wise people
  • Noticing and speaking up about hurts we’ve caused
  • Righting wrongs
  • Helping people

Please pray as we work together at teaching and modeling these concepts before the students.  And, as we work together, with the school and the home, we pray that we will see growth in everyone here at BCS!  The verse below is our theme verse for the year:

Colossians 1:9-12a

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father,”
