Brockton Christian School presents...

“Keep Christ in Christmas”

Monday, December 19
7:00 PM
An evening of Christmas music presented by the students of Brockton Christian School

Everyone is invited!

Students in the band ensemble will be playing, and the 2nd and 3rd graders will present an interpretive movement piece, “I Can Only Imagine.” All students in the school will sing Christmas songs highlighting the birth of Christ and the meaning of Christmas. The students will sing a special song, “This Christmas,” dedicated to the Hurricane Katrina efforts, featuring a rap by 8th graders Joshua Bevilacqua and Sidney Chambers. The Choral music is directed by Mrs. Sharon Lunsford, our BCS Music teacher.

Students should arrive at 6:45 PM to line up downstairs. Instrumental music students should arrive by 6:40PM. Girls must wear dresses or skirts/jumpers; boys must wear dress pants with a shirt and tie. An offering will be taken to support our arts and music program.

Extra Notes...

Don’t forget – school dismisses at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 21! Christmas CLubHouse will be available from 11:00 – 5:30 that day.

We are enclosing two lunch slips in your child’s packet today. One is for the week after vacation, the other for the following. Please return both by Tuesday, December 20! Thank you!

If you come to school late on a Wednesday morning, you will find us all in chapel from 8:15 – 9:00 AM. There will be a sign on the front door if there is no one in the office. You may enter the school through the chapel doors (the ones the children enter on bad weather days).

There are still some soup and cookie jars left for Miss Summer’s mission trip fundraiser. They are $6.00 per jar, with the order form in the office. Please send in your order by Friday, December 16th for Christmas delivery!

Are your child’s pants, skirt, or jumper getting too short? Grandma Sue (our lunch aide) will lengthen the outfit for you for a reasonable price. You may contact her at 508-587-7248.

Tuition Information

We would appreciate your prompt payment of tuition in December. With the onset of winter, our fuel bills increase. We would like to pay our teachers before the Christmas break, so your prompt payment will make this possible.

With a student body count of 110, it is absolutely critical that tuition payments be made on time. Thank you!

Christmas CLubHouse

Do you need childcare during the Christmas vacation? Our vacation care, BCS CLubHouse, will be available as soon as school dismisses on Wednesday, December 21. Christmas Clubhouse will operate from 11:00 AM on December 21 through Friday, December 30. (We will be closed on December 26, a legal holiday.) Operating hours: 7:30 – 5:30 daily, for a total of 6 ½ days. BCS CLubHouse is available for students in PreK (age 4) through 5th grade.

There is still time to sign up! If you have any questions, please call the BCS office at 508-588-4669. The CLubHouse and AfterCare telephone number is 508-345-4215.

Things are Happening Here!

During the past week, you could see many different things happening here at Brockton Christian School:

  • Four of our 4th grade students have earned their certificates for walking over 50 miles in the school playground! Lauren Adams, Brianna Arthur, Dominique Coley, and Shamila Rosario also had the opportunity to go out to lunch with Mrs. Hodges!
  • Miss Perez has been working with the 2nd and 3rd graders to present a Christmas program to our school in chapel. They will also do an interpretive movement number at the Christmas program on Monday, December 19!
  • The Kindergarten class made “snowman” soup this week! They also made wreath pins for their parents and the office staff, complete with singing “Feliz Navidad!”
